About Caron

Moving to Australia from New Zealand over 30 years ago, I am grateful to have experienced the true contrasts of Australian lifestyle. From the sub-tropical Gold Coast landscape to spending 5 years in the Australian outback. These experiences have hugely influenced my artwork as I fell in love with the beauty of nature and its magnificent colour palette!
In the outback, my inspiration came from seeing the wild flowers in every colour you could imagine sprouting up through the cracked earth after the long awaited rain.

Now, when creating in my Gold Coast studio, my passion for colour has evolved organically into a vibrant new colour palette that I infuse into my artwork.  I love including the vibrant colours found in flowers and beautiful big variegated leaves and ferns.  I love our turquoise blue ocean that turns to charcoal in a tropical storm.  

I paint intuitively and believe my colourful artworks promote emotions of happiness and joy, like a bunch of flowers, that greet you everyday and make you smile.
